The Seige House, Colchester

Skills: Ink Drawings

The ‘Seige House’ as it’s known is now a restaurant, but it’s famous to those of us in Colchester because of the bullet holes from the Seige of Colchester (at the time of the Civil War) that can still be seen on the building. Doing this drawing took me back to my childhood, I remember when very young the satisfaction of drawing Tudor buildings with alternateing black and white stripes with occasional diagonals.
