Post-covid sax party
This painting was inspired by an event in October 2021, the ‘Wild Paths’ festival in Norwich. Things were gradually getting back to normal following the COVID-19 lockdowns, and this was one of the first events where things started to feel a little normal again. I had gone up to see my son play and made a mistake with the car park and got my car locked in. I had to stay the night unexpectedly, so I went back to the pub and the party was in full swing. The appreciation of the joy and love of live music was evident from all the young people there.
