Winter frozen lake in Lapland, Finland
I’ve not travelled the world extensively but one place I’ve been to several times is Finland. It’s a beautiful country, and I visited Lapland, near the arctic circle, one Christmas. I was struck by how in the winter the sun never actually rises, all you see is a kind of pinky-orange glow in the sky. This is a view of an ice lake we visited. This picture has no pure white, just shades of great blue and lilac.
