Colchester Castle – classic view
I’m not the first painter to do this view, and I’m sure I won’t be the last. But someone asked me to paint the castle and I couldn’t resist doing it head-on. It’s such a jewel in the city of Colchester’s crown, and a few years ago I helped the young archaeologists put a time capsule buried deep below. My son wrote some strange stuff in the notes he put in, about Dr Who. Well, I Suppose it is a time capsule!
